Hi.
I'm home after nearly fourteen
thousand miles, twelve airplane trips, three very
different climates, and a lifetime of memories.
Although I was in the Arctic, it has taken New
York to claim "the blizzard of the century."
As I sit at my computer watching the rain, I wonder
what happened to all the snow. They say it's coming
- I just have to wait.
The Alaska kids would love
the "New York Snow Panic of 2001". The
weather people threatened us with the worst storm
in fifty years. And everything stopped. The supermarkets
were stripped bare of food, schools were closed,
airplanes cancelled, and workers rushed into New
York City to camp out on any available couch.
There was a rush on batteries and show shovels,
and a loaf of bread was harder to find than a
good weather report.
The snow finally arrived -
about 14 hours late.
Honey I'm home!
I'll keep you updated as the
weeks pass and perhaps you'll join me on my next
trip to Washington, D.C. in May or my Black Sea
journey in July. My novel, "Virtual
Terror", is doing very well. You can
get your own copy or just check out the scary
cover at www.firstpublish.com
If you want to play the quick-game of "Virtual
Terror", click here. My next book, "Matthew's
Web" (the first in a mystery-adventure
series for middle school aged kids) co-authored
with Donna Paltrowitz, is scheduled for a June
release. I'll send you more information as we
get closer to the publishing date.
In the meantime, thanks for
coming along. We had quite a journey.
Jeri
